Identifying the risk

At 80 Twenty our staff have a broad range of experience surveying within a variety of property types. We have extensive experience of surveying:
  • schools & colleges,
  • retail stores,
  • commercial properties,
  • social housing & private dwellings,
  • industrial and manufacturing properties,
  • boats and even railway lines!
You name it we have probably surveyed it at some point!

We have the facility to provide surveys to
  • Asbestos Management Surveys (formerly known as Type 1 Presumptive Surveys and Type 2 Sampling Surveys)
  • Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys (formerly known as Type 3 Pre-demolition / Major Refurbishment Surveys)
All of our surveys are carried out in accordance with the Methods for the Determination of Hazardous Substances (MDHS 100) for surveying, bulk sampling and assessment of asbestos-containing materials.

Note: This guidance was superseded on 29 January 2010 by HSG264 ‘Asbestos: The Survey Guide’. This has promoted several changes mainly centring on the definition of scope of a survey. 80 Twenty Projects Ltd have reviewed this document and are moving toward a total review of survey processes and procedures to ensure overall compliance with it terms. Suffice to say 80 Twenty have a team of highly experienced, qualified and competent asbestos surveyors, all of our surveyors hold the BOHS P402 Certificate and are fully trained and audited.

Also as per HSE guidance all samples are analysed by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory. If required we can arrange for Asbestos Testing or Sampling. Please contact us for details
